Oakland Raiders

Being able to trade Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys for a first-round pick is obviously enormous for this team that’s blowing things up. The reason that they don’t get an A-grade here, however, is that they didn’t continue further. With assets like Bruce Irvin, Karl Joseph and others that seemingly could’ve been dealt, they stopped at Cooper.

Philadelphia Eagles

Injuries have plagued the Philadelphia Eagles all season, specifically in regards to skill-position players. Even still, they’re 4-4 and remain in the playoff hunt. So going out and trading for Golden Tate is a hugely positive move for them. He’s a player that can truly get the offense on track once he gets comfortable and give this team the jolt they need.

Grade: A-

Pittsburgh Steelers

Despite the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers sit atop the AFC North right now, they’re a team that hasn’t been all that inspiring. Some help either in the secondary or at linebacker would’ve been great, and a Le’Veon Bell trade wouldn’t have been bad either. Nothing happened for the black and gold, though.

Grade: C

San Francisco 49ers

It’s a lost season for the San Francisco 49ers, and this team clearly needs more pieces to get where they want to build to. Either trading for assets or trading away assets for draft capital would’ve made sense, but the Niners did neither, which isn’t a great look for them.

Grade: D

Seattle Seahawks

This Seattle Seahawks team is better than some might’ve expected this season. Having said that, their lone move at the NFL Trade Deadline was to release Brandon Marshall. They seem like a team that could’ve benefitted from some depth on either side of the ball, but failed to make any such move.

Grade: C-

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Given the quarterback situation with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they are clearly a team in-flux. How in flux remains to be seen, so staying where they are seems like a fine move, but not one that moves the needle.

Grade: C

Tennessee Titans

Other than being linked to having interest in Demaryius Thomas after he was traded, there was little heard from this Tennessee Titans team. Though this group has struggled, it’s hard to hate that all that much. In terms of their roster, it doesn’t feel like any trade would behoove them in a major way, so standing pat was likely the best decision.

Grade: B

Washington Redskins

Right at the buzzer, the Washington Redskins were able to pull off one of the biggest moves of the day, landing Ha Ha Clinton-Dix from the Green Bay Packers in exchange for a 2019 fourth-round pick. The move gives them a fearsome safety tandem on the back end, which should greatly help their defense down the stretch, which will be critical as they look to hold onto the NFC East lead.
