New York Jets: Early top 3 targets for 2019 NFL Draft
Greg Little, Offensive Tackle, Ole Miss
The NFL has become a league about the pass, attacking vertically, and scoring points. In order to do that, teams need a good quarterback and a good offensive line. Since left-handed quarterbacks are basically extinct in the NFL, the two most important positions on the offensive line are center (basically the quarterback of the line, because he calls all the signals) and the left tackle (the blindside protector).
Greg Little has everything you look for in an NFL left tackle. He has the size (6-6, 325 pounds), the strength, and athleticism. His footwork and knee bend is excellent, and with that he can handle top edge rushers in the NFL. His quickness also gives him an advantage in the run game with his ability to get to the second level.
A good left tackle sets the table for the rest of the offensive line. Having a great one allows the other offensive linemen to settle in and just do their jobs. Sometimes having an average one leads to others having to make up for something lacking which can negatively affect the whole line. Little would provide that type of stability. His presence would be just what the doctor ordered for this offensive line.
