Here are five head coaches that should consider themselves on the hot seat heading into NFL Week 9 of the 2018 season.

After weeks of discussion over who would be the first head coach on the hot seat to go, the Cleveland Browns finally answered that question when they made the decision to part ways with Hue Jackson following last weekend’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. As for whether any coach could be next in line following NFL Week 9 of the 2018 season, well let’s just say there are a few candidates that should consider themselves far from safe when looking at how the first two months have gone.

Once again, the Oakland Raiders just couldn’t seem to catch a break this past Sunday when they ended up on the losing end to the Indianapolis Colts 42-28, dropping their record to 1-6 on the season. The Raiders made the tough decision in the days leading up to the game by sending Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a first-round pick, and while it’s great to see the team with three first rounders in 2019, it still doesn’t take away from the current frustration.

Hiring Jon Gruden and paying him all of that money from his ridiculous contract was supposed to help Oakland return to their winning ways from two years ago when they emerged as a top contender in the AFC, which obviously hasn’t been the case. While featuring Gruden on this list is becoming a weekly tradition, here are a few other candidates to consider for Week 9 when it comes to head coaches being on the hot seat.
