4. Tyreek Hill, WR/PR, Kansas City Chiefs

It’s rare for a wide receiver to make this list, let alone be higher than his own quarterback on this list. Tyreek Hill was a player that I almost put higher than his quarterback, simply because of what he does to aid the man under center.

First of all, he’s one of the four Chiefs players who have more than 200 yards after the catch, and while someone has to get him the ball, he has to do that work too. Hill has 25 receptions of 10 yards or less beyond the line of scrimmage, and on those plays he has 116 yards after the catch, and Mahomes is 25/31 with 150 yards and three touchdowns.

That results in a passer rating of 119.1, and much of that is a result of the yards after catch generated by Hill.

Hill is not just a receiver though. He returns punts as well, and his 14.6 yards per return is fourth in the league and is one of three players to return a punt to the end zone this season. His eight all purpose touchdowns is tied for seventh in the NFL, which makes him the only player in the NFL in the top-20 in yards after the catch, punt return average, and all-purpose scoring.
