Carolina Panthers (6-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2-1)

Thursday, November 8, 8:20PM ET

Too many times this season, I’ve picked against the Carolina Panthers. Every time I do, it ends up being a mistake. It paid off when I rolled with Cam Newton and Co. a week ago, and I’m hoping it’ll do so again in Week 10.

With that said, anything can happen in this one. The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the NFL’s hottest teams, having rattled off four straight wins after what can only be described as a subpar start to the season. Ben Roethlisberger is playing like his usual self, James Connor has proven to be a quality starting running back, and the defense is quietly blossoming into a dominant bunch.

As for the Panthers, they’re watching things click on their end as well. Newton and the offense are doing their usual thing, with Christian McCaffrey evolving into one of the NFL’s most dynamic playmakers. The defense is a bit up-and-down, but possesses enough talent at all levels to slow even the best of opposing offenses.

This one should come down to the wire, with a game-winning drive likely being the difference. Considering the resilient football the Panthers have been playing as of late and Newton’s heroic abilities under center, I’m going to give the edge to the visiting team.

Prediction: Panthers win 27-23
