The New Orleans Saints knocked off the last undefeated team which gives them a boost in the Week 10 edition of our 2018 NFL Power Rankings
The weekend is over, which means all of the Week 9 season outside of Monday Night Football is behind us. It was another fun slate of games that ended up moving things around in our 2018 NFL Power Rankings.
Things started off on Thursday Night Football with one of the least impressive matchups. Two losing franchises faced off as the San Francisco 49ers faced the Oakland Raiders. Despite their records, this one proved to be fun thanks to the breakout party of quarterback Nick Mullens.
He came out of nowhere to have one of the better games of the season, giving the Niners their second win of the season. It also sent the Oakland Raiders farther into a dark depression in their sad, lost season.
On Sunday, there were more exciting games, but the biggest two matchups were the games between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams as well as the Sunday Night Football showdown with the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers.
First up was the Saints, who knocked that zero off the end of the Rams record. A huge statement win in their own stadium gave them the inside track to home-field advantage in the NFC and moved them up in our weekly rankings.
The final game of the night put quarterbacks Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers against one another as the Patriots battled the Packers. That one was neck and neck entering the fourth quarter until the Pats broke the 17-17 tie and pulled away for the two-touchdown lead.
Let’s check in with the rankings and see how Sunday’s games leaves shakes things out.
