1. New Orleans Saints (3)

We have a new No. 1 in the New Orleans Saints. Outside of a shocking loss in Week 1 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Saints have been perfect. They’re now 7-1, but there’s been no win on their schedule that made more of a statement than their 10-point win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Not only did they beat a great team and give them their first loss, but they now own the tiebreaker over Los Angeles as each has just one loss. That could be huge because this was a close game that could have come down to where the Saints were playing.

Had they been in L.A., it may have been hard to stop the insane momentum the Rams had. After seeing a 35-14 lead completely evaporate, New Orleans put up 10 more points and ran the clock out in the end to get the win. They also had a sensational touchdown celebration from Michael Thomas.

Not only did he catch a touchdown pass to seal the game and move to 211 yards receiving on the day, but he also pulled out a flip phone and paid homage to former New Orleans receiver Joe Horn.

Some may not have liked the move as it drew a 15-yard penalty, but it was fun for fans to see. And in the end, it didn’t matter as the Saints pulled off their seventh in a row.
