Following another exciting week of action, we have our Week 10 edition of the 2018 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings where Drew Brees starts to make a climb
This week, we saw some of the best quarterbacks go head-to-head. The first big matchup was Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints taking on Jared Goff of the Los Angeles Rams.
The veteran and the newbie didn’t disappoint as there were plenty of fireworks in the 45-35 win by New Orleans. Seven total touchdown passes were connected on as the Rams pulled back from a 35-14 deficit. In the end, Saints ended up doing enough to give the Rams their first loss of the season as they put it away in the fourth quarter.
Sunday Night Football gave us the next great battle as Tom Brady and his New England Patriots battled the Green Bay Packers led by Aaron Rodgers. This contest wasn’t as explosive as the two teams entered the final quarter knotted up at 17.
Brady found a way to win though, as the Pats put in two touchdowns in the last period to win it by a score of 31-17. In each instance, the quarterbacks who win get all the glory, fair or not.
It’s funny because it really isn’t quarterback vs. quarterback. Brady had nothing to do with Rodgers throwing for fewer yards as that was all on the defense of New England. However, they still give the win to the guy orchestrating the offense.
Such is football and we love it that way. Every team in the league goes only as far as the signal-caller will take them. And with all that being said, we look in on our Week 10 edition of the 2018 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings.
