2. Ross Pierschbacher, G/C, Alabama

Hey, what do you know?! Another offensive lineman. Does it really come as a surprise, though?

Either way, Ross Pierschbacher is one that absolutely belongs on the Vikings’ short list. Not only does he hail from an Alabama program known for producing tough, dominating offensive linemen, but he offers the versatility to make an impact at a number of positions.

Prior to 2018, Pierschbacher actually spent his time at left guard. Then, this season, he made the switch to the center position and continues to thrive. That flexibility will be extremely valuable to a team like the Vikings, who could potentially be losing all three of Tom Compton, Nick Easton and Brett Jones this upcoming offseason.

Like Edwards, Pierschbacher also brings experience to the party. He’s been a four-year starter for the Crimson Tide, practicing week in and week out against some of the most dangerous defensive linemen in college football. Battling with Quinnen Williams and Raekwon Davis this year has certainly prepared him for a transition to the NFL.

Pierschbacher fits the mold of a high-impact interior blocker who can make his presence felt from the get-go. The Vikings need to keep him in mind as preparation for the 2019 NFL Draft kicks into high gear.
