It’s that time of the year again. It’s time to talk NFL Draft. Who will the New York Jets take in the annual selection process to help Sam Darnold?

The NFL Draft is an annual right of passage for players, but it’s also the ultimate test for those in the front office. The New York Jets finally drafted their future at quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft, and now they have to build around him in the 2019 NFL Draft.

When you build through the draft, it will always take multiple drafts to build what you want. According to Tankathon, the Jets only have three picks in the top 100 — seventh, 70th, and 94th overall.

A lot of things can happen between now and the days of the draft. Free agency will be big in what the Jets need going into their draft. This mock draft will focus on the what if scenario of how they land free agents, and be based on them landing many of the top free agents they should be targeting — especially at edge rusher and running back.

The free agent market is thin on the offensive line and at wide receiver. So the Jets are in a precarious position of choosing between getting Darnold a No. 1 receiver or a premier protector. They put themselves in this situation with poor drafting leading up to 2019, though.

So who will the Jets pick? Let’s find out.
