The Dallas Cowboys had their most impressive win of the season by winning on the road at Philadelphia. They did so with the help of three players who stood out on Sunday Night Football.

From the looks of the first half, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles weren’t playing their best football, but in the second half both teams amped up their games. It was the Cowboys who earned a 27-20 win with big plays from standout players and a defensive effort at the end which deserves applause.

The Cowboys (4-5) led at halftime 13-3 with the defensive effort keeping the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles out of the end zone, and this was following a game last Monday night where the Cowboys allowed 28 points in a loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Six days after losing on Monday Night Football, the Cowboys in the fourth quarter really stepped up their game with 14 points and a defensive stand at the end that made the game just a little bit too interesting for the Cowboys as time expired.

Some of the players who stood out included the play of Tyron Smith at left tackle as he did his job on the offensive line, including making key blocks against Philadelphia’s Fletcher Cox when needed in the second half. There were also big receptions by Allen Hurns, Amari Cooper, Cole Beasley and even rookie Michael Gallup, all of whom had multiple receptions.

Dak Prescott made some solid plays, and at other times his overall execution and pocket presence made things too tough on the offense and took away opportunities. Besides some mistakes, Prescott finished 26-of-36 for 270 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions.

As the game went along, the better the Cowboys played and the more crisp the offense played. There is still work to be done, and with some being surprised about how the overall outcome went to the Cowboys, there were still three players not mentioned who stood out the most on Sunday Night Football and in the win over the Eagles.
