New York Jets: Best fits on coaching staff for 2019
It’s time for the New York Jets to clean house from top to bottom. There’s one question left. Who should be coaching and running the organization in 2019?
The New York Jets are a mess. After an embarrassing 41-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills, it’s safe to say that it’s time for a complete overhaul in the organization. Yes, it’s time for Todd Bowles to go. It’s also time for Jeremy Bates, Kacy Rodgers and Mike Maccagnan to go as well. It’s time to start over from scratch and build team the right way around Sam Darnold.
Success begins at the top. Without good leadership in the front office, the team will fail, and without good coaching, it will too. The Jets should wait until the end of the season to do so, because there’s no need to fire guys considered to be lame ducks just to replace them with lame ducks.
A lot of people have thrown out names out there that are good replacements for Todd Bowles (I will get to my choice later). Darryl Slater of NJ.com threw out some names. Some are good. Some are ify, and some are probably not ready.
There is some emerging talent for the Jets coaching staff out there that could finally help the organizations out of the doldrums. It’s time for the Jets to get their heads out of the sand and finally do something right. They have their franchise quarterback. Now it’s time to build for the future.
This article will go through each position on the staff and pick the best candidate for the job and build an entire staff for the 2019 Jets. Since the talk is all about Bowles lately, let’s start on the field and at the top.
