NFL Power Rankings, Week 11: Titans shock Patriots, Chargers keep rolling

32. Oakland Raiders (32)
Make that five losses in a row for the Oakland Raiders, as this team just can’t seem to catch a break this season after suffering another tough loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday to drop their record to 1-8 on the year. And if that didn’t seem frustrating enough, this marked the second game in a row the Chargers failed to score a single touchdown, which has to bring all sorts of frustration towards Derek Carr on offense.
The whole reason behind the hiring of Jon Gruden as head coach in the offseason was to help Carr return to that MVP level from two years ago, which has been far from the case for the Raiders quarterback. It was bad enough that Oakland’s defense was forced to adjust to playing without Khalil Mack after the team decided to trade him to the Chicago Bears before the start of the regular season, but watching the team move on from Amari Cooper has left Carr without one of his favorite targets at receiver.
As hard as it is to believe, the Raiders actually made this contest close at the beginning when seeing how they were only trailing by seven points at halftime. If only Oakland could have found a way to show some life on offense, maybe the results would have been much different, although this doesn’t take away from how disappointing this season in general has been.
