31. New York Giants (31) – Play Monday Night

Not even a win on Monday against the San Francisco 49ers can help the New York Giants get out of the basement of the NFL Power Rankings when looking at how much of a disappointment this team has been so far in 2018. After only winning three games all of last year, this season was supposed to consist of the Giants turning things around while becoming a playoff contender once again in the NFC, especially with the addition of Saquon Barkley in the backfield.

In fact, any offense with Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr. to work with would seem capable of winning at least a few games over the first two months, which has been far from the case since New York’s only win came back in September over the Houston Texans. As bad as it sounds, the Giants are on the verge of being one of those too little, too late teams if they can’t figure out a way to turn things around sine the regular season will be over before they know it.

Also, New York will need to decide sooner rather than later if Eli Manning is the right answer for this offense since he hasn’t been making that strong of a case this season. As bad as it sounds, until Manning is officially out of the picture, it’s tough to imagine the Giants returning to the serious level of being contenders.
