George Kittle

Another week, another outstanding showing from Kittle, who was Mullens’ favorite target and proved a nightmare for the Giants to cover.

Consistently beating safety Landon Collins and linebackers like Alec Ogletree one on one, Kittle showcased his talent as a route-runner and with the ball in his hands as he caught nine of the 10 passes thrown his way for 83 yards, moving him on to 775 yards for what is now well established as a breakout year.

Kittle, per Pro Football Focus’ profile on the second-year player, has become only the third tight end since 2006 to have at least 535 yards after the catch in a season. Considering that the Iowa product has achieved that feat in 10 games, Kittle is on pace to crush Travis Kelce’s record of 652 yards after the catch in 2016.

After producing two stunning primetime performances, Kittle should be recognized for what he is, one of the top-three tight ends in the NFL. He is set to be a dynamic weapon for the 49ers for years to come and Pro Bowl or perhaps even All-Pro honors could be on the cards for him come the end of this season.
