6. Buffalo Bills: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston

Next up, we have the Buffalo Bills. This is another team that could be facing some big changes in the offseason. Sean McDermott got the team to the playoffs in his rookie season as a coach and is on the hot seat in year two. What has people down on him was his unbelievable love for Nathan Peterman. No matter how many times Peterman failed, McDermott kept returning to the man he anointed as the Week 1 starter.

While they finally did release Peterman, McDermott’s stubbornness to try and use him could lose him a lot of respect with his team and the front office. They might still give him another season, but even if they do, a lot needs to change if they want to start winning.

With this pick, there are several options to try and improve, but the Bills go with the best player available here and take Ed Oliver out of Houston. Oliver can step in and replace Kyle Williams and make an already strong defense that much better.

While they did invest a third-round pick in Harrison Phillips last season, Oliver is too good to be passed up on — especially on a franchise that prides itself on good defense.

For Houston, Oliver has been a nightmare for opposing teams. Offensive linemen can’t keep him contained and he’s able to affect both the pass and run game. It’s rare to find an interior tackle that can get pressure on the passer like he can and his addition keeps the Bills line relevant for years.
