Despite an awful start for the Arizona Cardinals, the team is set at quarterback. Week 11 could be a coming out party for rookie Josh Rosen.

There is a major amount of turmoil in the southwest right now, as the Arizona Cardinals are in total disarray. The Cardinals have been truly awful this year, currently standing at 2-7. Not many more wins are in sight, and the Cardinals need a lot of work on both sides of the ball.

And yet, their quarterback position is likely set for the future. UCLA product Josh Rosen came out of the 2018 NFL Draft, and was highly considered the best “pure passer” in the draft class. Thus far, he has underperformed, but it’s easy to argue that this is not Rosen’s fault.

Josh Rosen has had absolutely zero help on the offensive side of the ball, even with David Johnson as his backfield partner and running back. The Cardinals’ confidence is at an all time low, and they need a pick-me-up before their season goes totally off the rails.

Fortunately for Rosen and the Cardinals, they could be in store for a big game in Week 11. The Cardinals will welcome to 1-8 Oakland Raiders to State Farm Stadium on Sunday, and in a battle of possibly the league’s two worst teams, the Cardinals might have the advantage.

For as anemic as Arizona’s offense has been, the Raiders have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. After trading away star pass rusher Khalil Mack, the Raiders have all but lost their ability to get after the quarterback. This has worn down their secondary to the tune of allowing over 30 points per game on defense.

If there were ever a time for Josh Rosen to have his rookie breakout game, this would be it. Rosen and the Cardinals are poised to have their best offensive game yet against the Raiders, and hopefully Patrick Peterson and the defense can hold up their end of the bargain.
