San Francisco 49ers (2-8) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-7)

Sunday, November 25, 1PM ET

I keep expecting this Tampa Bay Buccaneers team to get it together and pull off a win as we work our way through the final few weeks. Well, it’s not happening. I’m finally realizing that they’re the garbage group their 3-7 record and four-game losing streak would indicate.

While the San Francisco 49ers haven’t been any more successful in 2018, they aren’t quite as big of a laughingstock on the field. Their issue is more a lack of overall talent rather than a tendency to make too many mistakes to overcome. That’s why I’m going with the 49ers in Week 12.

Let me temper expectations, though. This is going to be an ugly game, filled with plenty of underwhelming offense, porous defense and a handful of turnovers. While both teams figure to pitch in the first two pieces, the Buccaneers are the team that’ll produce the majority of the turnovers. Neither Ryan Fitzpatrick or Jameis Winston are capable of keeping the pigskin out of opponents’ hands.

Considering the Tampa Bay defense’s ineptitude, Matt Breida should have another big day. Nick Mullens will play his usual brand of smart football, doing just enough to help San Francisco secure its third win of the season.

Prediction: 49ers win 23-20
