It was a game in which the Kansas City Chiefs (546) and Los Angeles Rams (455) combined for 1,001 total yards as well as 105 points. It was also a contest which saw both teams’ defensive units get into the end zone. And Rams’ second-year outside linebacker Samson Ebukam enjoyed quiet the evening at the L.A. Coliseum as his team rallied for a 54-51 victory.

“I just kept playing hard, kept being myself, kept poised and just kept going,” explained the second-year pro to Lindsay Thiery of ESPN. And that he did as the 2017 fourth-round pick from Eastern Washington had a huge impact in the club’s three-point win.

Ebukam finished the evening with three tackles, one sack while knocking down a pass. He also scooped up a Patrick Mahomes’ fumble in the second quarter (thanks to a sack by Aaron Donald) and returned it 11 yards for a touchdown. Late in the third quarter, he made a terrific play off an errant Mahomes’ pass and took it back 25 yards for a score.

The Rams scored touchdowns four different ways on Monday night — one on the ground, four through the air and on Ebukam’s fumble and interception returns. It was a big night for the second-year defender.
