1. QB Jared Goff

A year ago, the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft rebounded from a disappointing showing in his first year and came up with a tremendous season under new head coach Sean McVay.

In 2017, quarterback Jared Goff hit on 62.1 percent of his throws for 3,804 yards and four times as many touchdown passes (28) as interceptions (7) in 15 contests. He was sacked only 25 times as well. In seven games as a rookie the previous year, the young signal-caller owned a disappointing 54.6 completion percentage. He threw for 1,089 yards and five scores opposed to seven picks. Goff was also sacked 26 times in those outings.

On Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, the third-year pro continued his sharp play. Despite being sacked five times and losing a pair of fumbles (one returned for a touchdown), Goff completed 31 of his 49 passes for 413 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. He also ran seven yards for a touchdown.

And his 40-yard scoring pass to tight end Gerald Everett with 1:49 to play proved to be the game-winner.

Jared Goff has taken somewhat of a backseat to Todd Gurley this season when it comes to the Rams’ offense. But he continues to answer the bell on a weekly basis and seemingly improves with every performance.
