Cleveland Browns: DT Grady Jarrett

The Cleveland Browns will have a new coaching staff for the 2019 campaign. With general manager John Dorsey at the controls, expect an aggressive approach to changing the culture within the organization; it starts with the players.

Dorsey made several trades during the last offseason to revamp the roster, acquiring wideout Jarvis Landry, safety Damarious Randall and quarterback Tyrod Taylor who ceded the starting job to Baker Mayfield.

In the offseason, Dorsey should look for young assets with the future in mind—gather some foundational pieces for the roster. Aside from the draft, the Browns have the cap space to spend on coveted free agents on the market. According to Spotrac, the front office will have $81.4 million to spend in 2019.

The Browns would likely have to pay top dollar for Grady Jarrett, who’s going to look for a second deal at 26 years old, but he’s worth the price. The fourth-year defensive tackle has steadily improved as a pass-rusher, he’s two sacks away from reaching a career high in the category and maintains a strong presence in run defense.

Last year, Jarrett logged 34 solo tackles and 15 tackles for a loss. This season, he missed two contests with an ankle injury but returned with a little fire in his belly, logging three sacks and three tackles for a loss over the previous three outings.

Jarrett can certainly help strengthen the Browns run defense, which ranks 27th. Paired with Larry Ogunjobi, the duo would provide relentless pocket pressure up the middle.
