After beating the Falcons earlier this season, the New Orleans Saints are hosting them in a Thanksgiving evening matchup of epic proportions.

Defeating the former Super Bowl champions had to feel good for the New Orleans Saints and their domination doesn’t look to end anytime soon. On a short week, the team is hosting their division rival, the Atlanta Falcons, in their first Thanksgiving matchup since 2010. Back in 2010, the Saints won and the odds are in their favor eight years later.

Instead of looking at such a long time ago, let’s go back to the Saints and the Falcons first meeting. The two teams met for this first time this season on Sept. 23 with the Saints winning out in overtime. It was a high-scoring affair for both teams as the Falcons put up 37 to the Saints’ 43 points. If anything, it proved how well the Saints handle adversity.

The same can be said about this matchup. There is one key detail worth noting, and that’s the Saint’s absolute upheaval of the league. They’ve taken down some of the best teams in football, including the previously undefeated Los Angeles Rams, in addition to winning by the slimmest margin against a tough Baltimore Ravens defense.

Essentially, the Saints were who we thought they were. As for the Falcons, they were just beaten back-to-back by the Cleveland Browns and the Dallas Cowboys. The Falcons do always put on a show against the Saints, though, so the game is going to be good.

Before you get ready for the turkey or shopping, let’s get into some bold predictions for the Saints when they host the Falcons for Thanksgiving.
