Here are five head coaches that should consider themselves on the hot seat heading into NFL Week 12 of the 2018 season.
With only six weeks remaining in the 2018 season, things are beginning to heat up more than ever when it comes to the latest edition of head coaches on the hot seat heading into NFL Week 12, as there are a few new faces this time around. For example, when looking at all of the frustration going on with the Green Bay Packers losing three of their last four games, Mike McCarthy is the latest coach to make the list.
Most head coaches would do anything to have a future Hall of Fame quarterback like Aaron Rodgers to work with when seeing how it would seem easy to run an offense with him under center. And while that has been the case on numerous occasions in previous seasons, the Packers enter Week 12 sitting one game under .500, which is unacceptable for a team like this one.
McCarthy received the benefit of the doubt last season when Green Bay fell short of a playoff berth since Rodgers missed part of the year with a broken collarbone, but there are no excuses for what’s taking place this time around. If the Packers end up falling short of the playoffs for a second year in a row, it’s going to be difficult to come up with reasons why McCarthy deserves to stick around heading into 2019.
One can only imagine the kind of pressure McCarthy is feeling for this weekend’s meeting with the Minnesota Vikings since Mike Zimmer’s squad is in need of a win as well to keep things close with the Chicago Bears in the NFC North race. Along with McCarthy, here are some other head coaches worth monitoring when it comes to the latest round of coaches on the hot seat for Week 12.
