Here are five teams that should consider themselves on upset alert for NFL Week 12 of the 2018 season.
Last weekend, the Los Angeles Chargers ended up being the biggest victims of the upset after suffering a surprise loss at home to the Denver Broncos at the last second, putting an end to their six-game winning streak. And if the Chargers aren’t careful, they could end up being on the wrong end of a major upset for the second-straight week since the Arizona Cardinals have nothing to lose at this point.
After losing both Carson Palmer and Bruce Arians to retirement following the 2017 season, the Cardinals originally thought Sam Bradford would be able to help make the transition easier since the talent seemed to be there for Arizona to emerge as a contender again in the NFC.
Instead, Bradford turned out to be a complete bust for the Cardinals, and as a result, Josh Rosen took over the starting job back in September to give him some much needed experience right away. Rosen may not be anywhere close to most quarterbacks in the league, but Arizona hopes this rookie experience will pay off in the long run to help the team return to their level from a few years ago as a top playoff contender.
Whether this means Rosen can give the Chargers another scare like the Broncos did last Sunday, well it will certainly be interesting once the weekend arrives to see how Los Angeles handles the pressure. So in honor of Week 12, here are the top five teams that should be worried about being on upset alert when looking at the teams they will have to face.
