The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins renew their rivalry on Thanksgiving as first place is on the line in the NFC East.

On Oct. 21, the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins did battle in the nation’s capital, where the Redskins won by just three points. This time around, just as much is on the line for both rivals as the Cowboys are just one game back in the standings behind the Redskins, and more so, a win by the Cowboys will give them a three-game winning streak.

A win by the Redskins would give them a solid two-game cushion in the divisio,n as the Cowboys would be in second place and the Philadelphia Eagles are having their own struggles one season after winning the Super Bowl.

A lot can and most likely will happen in this game as the Cowboys and Redskins are sure to put forward their best efforts on Thanksgiving, wanting to make their fan bases thankful they are cheering for one of the two teams.

Earlier in the season when the Redskins defeated the Cowboys by a 20-17 score, who would have predicted that the veteran Washington running back Adrian Peterson would have been the rushing leader for the game, finishing with 24 carries for 99 yards, averaging 4.1 yards per carry? Who would have predicted that in that same game, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott would be held to 33 yards on 15 carries, averaging 2.2 yards per carry?

This time around, many expect Elliott to have a better outcome with his rushing yards. For the Redskins, there is a lot of unknown with injuries adding up for them, including their starting quarter Alex Smith suffering a broken leg last Sunday in a loss to the Houston Texans.

For this game, the Redskins will depend on Colt McCoy against the Cowboys, and many of us know what happened the last time he played against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. Here are five bold predictions for the Redskins vs. Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.
