4. Colt McCoy will have a productive game

It is tough to bet against the Dallas Cowboys when they will be facing a backup quarterback who doesn’t have a full week to prepare for a game, but don’t be surprised if Washington Redskins quarterback Colt McCoy doesn’t struggle in this game and plays at a respectable level.

Back in 2014, McCoy was 25-of-30 for 299 yards, no touchdowns and one interception against the Cowboys. Will he be able to match that output on Thursday? The answer is yes and then some.

The Cowboys will allow McCoy to have a solid game against them for the fact they need to make sure Adrian Peterson doesn’t defeat them from the running back position. Though Peterson is a veteran, he still has it in him to have very good games, and on short notice the Cowboys need to make sure he is not the reason they would lose this game.

That makes for McCoy being able to put up some solid numbers like 225 yards passing and a couple touchdown passes against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, but still with the Cowboys being in control of the game defensively.

For something like that to occur and the Cowboys to win the game, that would mean the offense of the Cowboys will have to have a solid day as well, which could be the toughest part of all, though they’ve been playing better as of late.
