The Dallas Cowboys won their third game in a row as they defeated the Washington Redskins in Week 12. Here are three big takeaways from the Thanksgiving win.

After falling to 3-5, things looked bad for the Dallas Cowboys who were falling out of the race in the NFC East. They were also about to go out on a two game road trip — and hadn’t won a game on the road at that point.

They somehow pulled off the upset in Week 10 as they defeated the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. It was a tough game that came down to the wire, but Dallas found a way behind some solid running out of Ezekiel Elliott.

After that win, they headed to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to face the Atlanta Falcons. It was around this same time last season that Dallas headed to that very field and had one of their worst games in recent memory. They put those demons to bed with a great final drive from Dak Prescott that led to a last-second 22-19 win, which set them up for a Thanksgiving Day showdown with the Washington Redskins.

Dallas showed up in this one with the NFC East lead on the line and they were able to put together a complete game, which led to a huge win. In the win, Prescott had a career-high passing yards and Amari Cooper broke out as the star receiver they truly needed.

Here we will look over the game and see what three things stood out most for the Cowboys in their 31-23 Week 12 victory.
