NFL Draft: Grading each 2018 first-round pick after Week 11

22. Tennessee Titans: Rashaan Evans, LB
There were a lot of believers in Rashaan Evans as he was a great inside linebacker for the University of Alabama. He was polished and technically sound and while he may not have stood out as spectacular, he was supposed to be a plug and play starter.
Early on he was on the field a lot, but the plays weren’t coming. He struggled against the run, but the team felt he could contribute in pass rushing situations and would get better the more he played.
Still, he hasn’t really been standing out and his snap counts have slipped as the season goes on according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required) as he’s seeing less time on the field now than Weeks 2-6.
Evans has just 22 tackles on the season and has been at two or fewer total tackles in six of his nine games played this season. The good news for the Titans is they’ve had a solid defense with other players stepping up for them. They would surely like Evans to improve still and become the force they hoped he would be.
Grade: D
