29. San Francisco 49ers (30)

Wins have been difficult to come by this year for the San Francisco 49ers since the offense seemed to take a major step back in September when Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a torn ACL to put an end to his season. However, Sunday’s game against a weak defense in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seemed like it would turn into a favorable matchup for Kyle Shanahan’s squad, which ended up being far from the case.

When seeing how Nick Mullens had taken advantage of the surprise playing time under center for San Francisco in previous games, many wondered if this would end up being a strong outing by the backup quarterback. Instead, Mullens couldn’t figure out a way to get anything consistent going on offense by only finishing with one touchdown to go along with two interceptions.

As bad as it sounds to say, this loss by the 49ers really isn’t that big of a deal since the team was already heading towards a top draft pick anyway with only two wins to their name. Hopefully by this time next year, the situation in San Francisco will be much different with a healthy Garoppolo to put them in a better position to compete, unlike this season.
