The Minnesota Vikings are undoubtedly already preparing for the 2019 NFL Draft, and this seven-round mock draft will help you do the exact same thing.

Right now, the Minnesota Vikings‘ 2018 campaign could go in a number of different directions. Currently slotted into the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC, it’s going to take a valiant effort for them to stay in the hunt with a rough slate of games still on the docket.

Realistically, what happens between now and the end of December doesn’t matter when it comes to the 2019 NFL Draft, though. Either way, the Vikings’ scouting department is already busy building a draft board, putting together scouting reports and all of that other hubbub. Doesn’t it just make sense to join them in preparation for the big day in April?

I agree, which is why I put together this early seven-round mock draft.

Yes, it’s obviously premature. The 2019 NFL Draft is still five months away, meaning a lot can happen between now and then. The Vikings still have several games to play, and the college football season isn’t over either. We must also consider 2019 NFL free agency, which could also alter Minnesota’s offseason plan.

So here is your early look at how the Vikings could approach the 2019 NFL Draft. It’s no surefire plan because, well, it’s November. Take it for what it is — entertainment that incorporates the team’s potential needs and prospects who could fill said needs.

Note: The Vikings traded their fifth-round pick to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a 2018 seventh-round pick and Trevor Siemian. They also traded their seventh-round pick to the New York Giants for Brett Jones.
