The New Orleans Saints eye their 11th-straight win of 2018 as they go on the road to face the Dallas Cowboys in a massive Thursday Night Football clash.

After the first week of the 2018 NFL season, many were wondering what to make of the New Orleans Saints. They looked fun, sure, but whether or not they could compete in the NFC title picture was highly in question. Entering Week 13 and a matchup with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football, however, that is no longer in question.

Drew Brees and the Saints have been wholly dominant in recent weeks. They have reeled off 10-straight wins on the back of arguably the most potent and consistent offense in the NFL. Whether it’s Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas or guys that you didn’t know existed (see Week 12 against Atlanta), they are clicking on all cylinders. And with the defense rounding into form, this team has the look of a juggernaut.

At the same time, though, the Cowboys have won three-straight coming into this game and have hit their stride. Ezekiel Elliott has found his mojo once again and the addition of Amari Cooper, though pricey, has opened up the offense in new and exciting ways. After beating the Redskins last week, Dallas is now in the lead in the NFC East, something they won’t concede quietly.

As dominant as the Saints have been, the sneaky part of this matchup is how they stack up against the Cowboys defense. Dallas has not given up more than 24 points in any game this season and they are seemingly getting stronger each week on that side of the ball. With that, they may have the potential to slow down Brees and New Orleans.

Despite going on the road for this game, the Saints are still over a full touchdown favorite over the Cowboys, which is surely an indication of how well they’ve been playing. What’s shocking is the lack of faith the oddsmakers have in the Dallas defense given what the Over/Under line is for this contest.

Prediction

Call me crazy, but I believe that the Cowboys are going to catch the Saints off guard on Thursday Night Football. While neither team is coming off of a short week having played on Thanksgiving Day, this is a more than formidable Dallas defense that has not found a shootout yet. And with their offense re-finding their identity in recent weeks, I think they do enough to end New Orleans’ winning ways and pull of a massive upset to stay in control of the NFC East.

Final Score: New Orleans Saints 23, Dallas Cowboys: 24
