1. Cowboys snap the Saints’ 10-game winning streak

The New Orleans Saints come into this game with a 10-game winning streak and everyone anointing them. There’s good reason for that, as well. No matter the type of game, no matter who they’ve been up against since they got Fiztmagic-ed in Week 1, they’ve passed the test with flying colors. They are quite obviously the best team in the NFC, but this feels like a game where Dallas can have their number.

Put simply, the Cowboys, in the way that they’ve been playing over their three-game winning streak of their own, have an identity that can cause issues for what the Saints like to do. That starts with the defense as they’ve been one of the best units in the league that no one is talking about, and they have the speed at linebacker to neutralize the effects of guys like Alvin Kamara and young talent in the secondary that can match up with weapons.

Moreover, the way that the offense has been working, they can open up lanes for Ezekiel Elliott with upward-trending offensive line play and the space that’s being created now that Amari Cooper has started to emerge. What’s more, Cooper’s versatility on the outside and the slot allows the offense to find him favorable matchups to exploit.

This isn’t going to be a blowout for the Cowboys, but they’re in a position where they can control this game and essentially take much of the game out of Brees and the Saints offense’s hands. And, with them also being motivated to keep control of the NFC East, the Cowboys will come in and keep their upward trajectory intact with a huge win.
