2. Mark Ingram

Moving to the offensive side of the ball, the Saints are continuing their trend of having a dominant offense. For years, the team was known for being pass-heavy but have since shifted to a run-heavy team. Obviously, the change is due to the Saints drafting Alvin Kamara in 2017.

As incredible as Kamara has been, he’s the speed but Ingram is the strength. Between the two, Ingram is known for being a tough runner, breaking tackles and generally being the tougher of the two. Even with his suspension, Ingram hasn’t dropped off at all and fit seamlessly right back into the rotation.

Against the Cowboys, Ingram is the one you should be watching. The Cowboys defense shut down Adrian Peterson last week and will likely do the same to Alvin Kamara. That being said, Ingram will get a majority of the carries and take over for Kamara including racking up yards and scoring touchdowns.

In 2015, the Saints hosted the Cowboys and Ingram finished the game with 77 rushing yards and 51 receiving yards. The Cowboys defense is better since then but so is Ingram. Unless the Cowboys can shut him down, Ingram is going to have a big game and score at least a touchdown.

Ingram has yet to truly take over this season, but going against the Cowboys gives him a chance. Between the two players, I think you should keep your eye on Ingram instead of Kamara.
