1. Drew Brees

Lastly, the major playmaker for the Saints has been Drew Brees. Brees is on par to have one of the best seasons of his career, resulting in winning the league MVP award and has thrown for at least three touchdowns in each of the past four weeks. 2018 has truly been Drew Brees’ year.

Just last week, Brees threw his second interception of the year and his first since Week 8 against the Vikings. He’s picked apart some of the best defenses in the league including the Vikings and the Rams. His stats are impressive, but most impressive are his performances under pressure. Each week, he’s improved as if that’s even possible but at age 41, he’s playing his best football.

In his career, Brees has gone up against the Cowboys seven times and has only lost two times. However, before now, Brees hasn’t gone up against an improved DeMarcus Lawrence or the new Cowboys defense. Lawrence has been incredible at pressuring the quarterback this season and Brees has to have his defenses up.

Additionally, Brees has to be careful and try not to make risky throws. He did last week and it resulted in an interception. The Cowboys are going to take advantage of his weaknesses so Brees has to keep playing as he has been. It’s impossible not to watch Brees when he takes the field so be sure to see how he reacts and handles adversity against the Cowboys defense.
