Baltimore Ravens (7-5) at Kansas City Chiefs (9-2)

Sunday, December 9, 1PM ET

I’m very excited about what this game could have in store for us. On one hand, you have a dynamic Kansas City Chiefs offense with an MVP candidate under center. On the other hand, you have a defensive-minded Balitmore Ravens team being led on offense by a rookie.

The edge seems obvious, right? Well, not so fast.

The Baltimore defense has been outstanding this season. They’ve done a tremendous job of shutting down even the best of opposing offenses, which makes me believe they’ll find a way to slow Patrick Mahomes and Co.

Must Read. NFL Mock Draft: Jets get Bosa, Raiders get big haul. light

Here’s the problem: Lamar Jackson is a complete unknown at this point. The Ravens’ young, athletic quarterback is certainly exciting to watch, but has proven to be mistake-prone through his first three starts. While the Chiefs don’t have the greatest defense in the league, they’ve done a wonderful job of capitalizing on turnover opportunities throughout 2018.

That’s why I’m picking the Chiefs to win. It’s not because of their exceptional offense, which will have its hands full with the Baltimore defense. Instead, it’s Jackson and his tendency to give the ball away that will cost the Ravens their three-game winning streak.

Prediction: Chiefs win 23-17
