Indianapolis Colts (6-6) at Houston Texans (9-3)

Sunday, December 9, 1PM ET

The Indianapolis Colts’ utter failure in Week 13 threw me for a loop. How did Andrew Luck fail to score a single point against a 3-8 Jaguars team after winning five games in a row? Seriously, it boggles the mind.

I’ll do my best to work past it, though.

While the Colts are trying to cope with that embarrassing loss, the Houston Texans have now won nine consecutive games — that’s the most wins in a row after starting 0-3 in NFL history. They show no interest in slowing down, and look like one of the AFC’s top-tier contenders heading into December.

So do the Colts really think they have it in them to upset the Texans on the road? Regardless of what they think or feel, it’s highly unlikely. If they had trouble scoring against the Jacksonville defense, Luck should expect similar resistance against a Houston defense that loves to make life miserable for opposing passers.

Deshaun Watson has teamed with his defensive brethren to turn the Texans into a franchise worth taking seriously. We’ll see even more evidence of this in Week 14 when they invite Luck and Colts into town, hand them a loss, and send them packing.

Prediction: Texans win 28-13
