The New York Giants are sapped of talent on both sides of the ball, and will need a pretty large overhaul to compete in 2019. This bite-sized mock draft could give a glimpse into Big Blue’s future.

The New York Giants are not very good. Currently, the Giants stand at 4-8 with a shock win over the Chicago Bears in Week 13. Still, that win is not indicative of what the Giants have been all season: pretty terrible.

The state of New York has had a rough go of things in the NFL in 2018. The Giants, along with the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets have combined for a whopping 11-26 record this season. And yet, the Giants might just be the worst of the bunch, for a myriad of reasons.

Despite having an electrifying offense with star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate running back Saquon Barkley, the Giants have absolutely nothing to make their offensive unit “go.” More on that later.

But, as it always do, the fountain of hope springs eternal throughout the ranks of the NFL. Fans of Big Blue do have one reason to take heart through the rest of this lost season. The annual NFL Draft is coming in April, and this season’s class promises to certainly be a memorable one.

The Giants can fix a lot of their holes this draft season, as long as they play it smart. And because New York’s front office forfeited a third-round pick in order to draft cornerback Sam Beal in the 2018 Supplemental Draft, their first two picks are of utmost importance. Let’s take a quick look at what those first two rounds could look like.
