5. Mike Evans ends his touchdown drought

Since Jameis Winston joined the Buccaneers, Mike Evans has been his go-to guy. The two formed such a solid connection and put up big numbers together. In 2018, the connection seemed to wilt as Winston sat out for the first three games of the season. He eventually returned, but his connection with Evans wasn’t as dynamic. Winston also missed time with a shoulder injury too, and that didn’t help matters.

Coming into Week 14, it’s time for Winston and Evans to get back on track. Evans hasn’t had a touchdown catch since Week 11 against the Giants. Considering he’s already over 1,000 receiving yards this season, that’s pretty surprising. I predict the touchdown drought for Evans will end against the Saints.

Last week, the Saints defense gave up some big plays and the Bucs are going to take advantage of that. Considering how big their Week 1 matchup was, there’s no way Evans won’t make a splash. He finished Week 1 with almost 150 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven catches.

Despite how good Winston is playing, he’s going to go back to old habits. Evans is his security blanket so it’s only a matter of time. Regardless of how many points the Bucs put on the board, Mike Evans is going to make an impact.
