4. The Buccaneers defense picks off Drew Brees

Drew Brees has been playing like an MVP this season. For the most part, he’s kept his interceptions at bay. That was until the last two weeks, as Brees has thrown one in each game. Against the Falcons, it was early and the team could make up for it. Against the Cowboys, it proved to be the final nail in the coffin as it snapped their winning streak.

The last time the teams met, Brees had a perfect game. He finished the game with three touchdowns and over 400 yards passing. It seems like, in the past few games, Brees has either had too much pressure or just couldn’t complete his passes. It’s strange considering how dominant he’s been this season.

As for the Buccaneers, they picked off Cam Newton four times in their last game. I predict the defense will keep the momentum going and pick off Brees. Keep in mind that Brees won’t make it easy for them. His few interceptions were mostly bad judgment calls by Brees and the Bucs need to pressure him and cause that to happen.

Getting the pressure on Brees isn’t easy as the Saints offensive line has played incredibly well. If the Bucs can play as good as they did last week, then there’s a different story. Regardless, the Bucs need to both pressure Brees and generate takeaways if they want to come out on top again.
