NFL Week 14, 2018: 5 Teams on upset alert
By Dan Parzych
Here are five teams that should be on upset alert for NFL Week 14 of the 2018 season.
Despite entering the second half with a comfortable lead, the Pittsburgh Steelers received a major wake-up call last Sunday when they ended up losing to the Los Angeles Chargers in a game that could very well have been an early playoff preview. As for what the Steelers should expect for NFL Week 14, there’s every reason to believe the team will be able to pull off the win over the Oakland Raiders, although nothing is guaranteed since upsets happen all the time.
To say the Raiders have been one of this year’s biggest disappointments would be a huge understatement when seeing how this team only has two wins heading into Sunday’s meeting with the Steelers in stead of being in position to battle for a playoff spot. Originally, the hiring of Jon Gruden was supposed to help Oakland return to their old ways from a few years ago as a top contender in the AFC, and while that may not be the case, the team can still spoil playoff plans for a few teams.
Pittsburgh knows this is one of those games that has trap written all over it when seeing how Oakland is a team with nothing to lose at this point in the season since they’ve already been eliminated from playoff contention. Along with the Steelers, here are some other teams that should worry about being on upset alert for Week 14, especially since the end of the regular season is right around the corner, meaning every game is extremely important the rest of the way.
