1. Baker Mayfield

To say that BakerMania is running wild in the city of Cleveland would be an understatement. Following Tyrod Taylor’s injury in Week 3, the Browns were forced to turn to their rookie in Mayfield, and the rest has been history. Mayfield has excelled as a rookie and is only eight touchdown passes away from breaking Peyton Manning’s rookie record.

Mayfield had his worst game as a pro in Week 13, throwing three first-half interceptions against the Houston Texans. But he was able to bounce back in the second half, throwing for over 350 yards in that half alone. The Browns lost 29-13, but Mayfield held himself together and was able to somewhat dig himself out of the hole he was in after the first half.

Week 14 is perhaps the most interesting game of Mayfield’s career so far, to see how he can bounce back after facing true adversity against the Texans. The Dawg Pound holds its breath as they await an answer from their young gunslinger. Will Mayfield once again awake feeling dangerous, or will he look like a rookie for the second game in a row?

The key for Baker Mayfield here is not trying to do too much. Just to make as many plays as he can, and to not try to get it all back at once. The killer instinct Mayfield possesses is admirable, but he needs to slow down and take it down just a half a notch.
