Someone will record three sacks

According to Pro Football Focus’ latest rankings, the Seahawks offensive line is the 28th worst in the league and the Vikings are only a little higher at 24th. That’s not good. Both units have struggled to protect their quarterbacks and sometimes seem to just crumble against strong defensive lines. Putting both of these lines on the field should be a feeding frenzy for these two defenses.

I’ve already mentioned where the two team’s pass rushes rank in the league. The Vikings have three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Everson Griffen, who returned to action three weeks ago, and Danielle Hunter. Hunter has not recorded a sack in any of the last three games, but he recorded 3.5 back in Week 9 and already has 11.5 sacks on the year. That’s good enough to tie him with three other defensive ends for the fourth most this season.

On the other side, Seattle has defensive end Frank Clark and defensive tackle Jarran Reed. Clark has already tied his personal season best with ten sacks in 2018, but he hasn’t recorded one in the last two weeks. Reed is having a breakout year in his second full season as a starter. He has 6.5 sacks on the season and is still improving as an interior force along the line. With so many talented pass rushers in the game, I think someone is going to go off Monday night.
