Allen Robinson and Trubisky need to be on the same page

When the Bears played the Packers back in September Trubisky tried to get Allen Robinson involved in the game. The results weren’t really what the offense wanted. Robinson made four catches for 61 yards, but more than half of that came on one play (33 yards). Additionally, Trubisky targeted Robinson seven times.

Trubisky and Robison had a similar connection against the Rams. He made five catches on eight targets for 42 yards. As with what happened in the opening season game, Trubisky went deep to Robinson on a number occasions but he either overthrew, underthrew, or threw too wide.

These two guys need to be on the same page this Sunday. If Trubisky connects with Robinson early and often it should be a long game for the Packers. Green Bay doesn’t have the defensive backs with the size and strength to play a physical game against Robinson. That is why the Bears wanted to go to him in the first game.

Robinson’s play should open up things for the other receivers. If he is in a rhythm he’ll attract more attention. That helps receivers like Taylor Gabriel and Anthony Miller. It’ll also help Tarik Cohen making catches out of the backfield. Add Howard’s running to the equation and the Bears could end up with a huge number of yards at the end of the game.
