Travis Kelce is not slowing down

Tight end Travis Kelce has been helping in a major way to make the Chiefs offense unstoppable on the 2018 season, and that isn’t looking like something that’s going to subside. Kelce is right there every time he needs to be on the receiving end of Patrick Mahomes passes. Though his yardage total on Thursday night wasn’t overwhelming, he continues to show that he’s a reliable and highly productive part of the Chiefs offense.

Kelce has been a dominant tight end this season — a true playmaker. Kelce had 10 touchdowns and 1,159 yards under his belt after 13 games. The hope was that he would only add to his totals on Thursday night in this crucial matchup against the Chargers, a team that he has never gone down easy against. He has often feasted on the linebackers of the Chargers.

However, LA defensive backs Derwin James and Desmond King did not make the matchup easy for Kelce. But Kelce still ended up with seven catches (on nine targets) for 61 yards on the night. With the changes in the Chiefs offense in recent weeks, Kelce has remained the constant and, as the Chiefs try to push back ahead of the Chargers in the division race, he will be a key piece in helping the offense keep rolling.
