The Los Angeles Rams are coming off of just their second loss of the season, looking to rebound as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.

2017 seems like it’s a decade ago with how much the NFL has changed. Most notably, the former Superbowl champ, Philadelphia Eagles haven’t met expectations. The opposite is true for the Los Angeles Rams. Despite a few hiccups, the Rams have been one of the strongest teams in the NFC and are poised for a playoff run.

Coming into this game, there’s a small history between the two. Looking back at 2017, the Eagles snapped the Rams winning streak. That’s not to say the game was a blowout because it wasn’t. The two teams played hard and it wasn’t decided until the very last minute. It did result in a victory for the Eagle,s so there’s no doubt the Rams aren’t thinking a little bit about revenge.

For the Eagles, their season has been lackluster, to say the least. The team brought none of the magic from their Super Bowl run. Despite big-name free agents, their defense has given up big plays while their offense has been without Carson Wentz for most of the season. Simply put, the Eagles aren’t the team they were last year and it’s shown in their losses.

Moving to the Rams, they’ve been everything we thought they would be. The offense is hot and so is the defense. Considering the price, the defense should be. Even with a bad game against Chicago, there’s a lot of hope for the Rams. They might have to correct some mistakes but that’s easily fixable.

Coming into Week 15, the Rams are looking for a win after losing to the Chicago. If the Eagles want to win, they need to get the pressure on Goff. Goff had a terrible game and his confidence is understandably shaken. If the Eagles defense can get in his face, then there’s the potential for takeaways. Offensively, the Eagles are pretty solid so defense is their biggest worry.

As for the Rams, they need to get the mojo back into their offense. Goff needs to be smarter and keep the interceptions at bay. Defensively, the team must pressure Wentz as the Cowboys defense didn’t and it almost cost them the game. Ultimately, the game has the potential to be even bigger than last year but possibly with a much different result.

Prediction

Even though the Eagles are far from who they were, there’s no doubt this game is going to be good. If it wasn’t, then why would they play it on Sunday night? Nevertheless, the Los Angeles Rams have a chance to prove themselves after two big losses while the Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to prove that they’re not the duds everyone thinks they are.

Between the two teams though, the Rams are the clear favorite. Despite a few missteps, the Rams are the stronger team. As long as Goff and Gurley can get back on track, the game is the Rams to take.

Final Score: Philadelphia 17, Los Angeles 34
