The Houston Texans get a gift as they look to bounce back from ending their winning streak, facing the New York Jets in NFL Week 15. Here’s how to watch.

The Houston Texans started out the year brutally, losing their first three games, but bounced back in the biggest way possible as they reeled off nine-straight wins. However, that came to an end last week with a loss to the Indianapolis Colts. They now will travel to East Rutherford on a semi-short week for a Saturday afternoon battle with the New York Jets in NFL Week 15.

Deshaun Watson and the Texans offense have shockingly survived this season, despite the fact that they’ve had persistent issues on the offensive line. Where they’ve really thrived, however, is that their defense has gotten back to form. JJ Watt looks like a superstar once again and the addition of Tyrann Mathieu has been critical for this team on the back end.

That Houston defense should have a chance to feast on Saturday against the Jets. Not only has rookie quarterback Sam Darnold proven to be mistake prone this season, but the offensive line is a sieve. That bodes well for what Watt and Jadeveon Clowney can do to pressure the Gang Green offense. Moreover, the Jets defense has struggled this season, meaning that Watson and the offense should be able to move the ball consistently.

Simply put, a matchup between the Texans and Jets is a mismatch in every regard. Not only is Houston the more talented and balanced team, but they also have far more to play for than draft positioning, which is all that can be said of New York.

These Texans appear to have the AFC South locked up, but they need to shore things up down the final three games of the season after losing to Indy last week. Again, playing against the lowly Jets seems like a good recipe to help them accomplish just that.
