3. The offensive line is very worrisome

At one time in recent memory the Dallas Cowboys had the best offensive line in all of the NFL. They built the o-line through the draft for a number of years, giving themselves the cushion of knowing they didn’t need to worry about those five players as to what they’d provide to the team on game day.

Those days are over it seems as Travis Frederick has missed the entire season at center, Zack Martin missed his first game of his career and left tackle Tyron Smith is playing hurt with braces not only on his knees, but also he has a neck collar and a brace on his elbow. Not having three first round picks on the fiels and past All-Pro selections playing injured means the whomever replaces them won’t be playing up to the very high standard set by those three players.

The Cowboys play as well as their offensive line plays, and they didn’t play very well on Sunday as the team rushed for 112 yards (22 carries) and the Colts had a total of three sacks to their credit defensively.

The good thing for the Cowboys is hopefully Martin is able to return to the lineup next week and the rest of the unit can learn from their miscues and play at a level they know they are capable of playing at next Sunday when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at AT&T Stadium.
