With the season nearing a close, we again look ahead with this 2019 NFL Mock Draft, which sees a pass rusher staying on top after the order was rearranged

With every team now done with 14 games, we have a good idea of which teams will be in play come January. While nothing is set in stone — and several teams are in position for the Wild Card spots — we at least know the majority of the players. We also know which teams are ready to start looking ahead, like we are about to do with the latest edition of our 2019 NFL Mock Draft.

We know several teams won’t be in the playoffs, including a couple who thought they would be when the season began. The San Francisco 49ers, for example, were expected to make a run this season with Jimmy Garoppolo. A torn ACL ended those hopes as his club is set to select early in the upcoming draft once again.

Another team not heading to the playoffs is the Green Bay Packers. After not having Aaron Rodgers for much of 2017, they thought his return to health would push them over the top. Instead, they ended up firing head coach Mike McCarthy and are set for another losing season.

Teams like this still have a couple of games to play, but they also have an eye on the coming offseason — as do many of their fans. That’s where this mock comes in as we try and fill holes for those teams, and many more.

As always, the order in these mocks is determined by our most recent 2018 NFL Power Rankings. Doing this may not have the same results as the actual standings indicate, but until the order is set in stone this is the tool we use.

With all that being said, the Oakland Raiders are now on the clock.
