9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Andraez Williams, CB, LSU

Next up, we have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ahead of the 2018 season, Tampa Bay made some valiant efforts to fix their issues that hurt them in 2017. They understood their defense was getting pushed around, so they traded for edge rusher Jason Pierre-Paul and drafted Vita Vea in the first round out of Washington. They also realized their running game needed work and took USC’s Ronald Jones in the second.

So far, only the JPP move has worked. He’s been as effective as ever getting after the quarterback but no one knows it because the team keeps losing. And they’re losing because they have no ground game and their defense as a whole has been bad.

There’s still hope that Vea can turn it around as he was slowed by injuries this season and is still a rookie. If he does, the duo of JPP and Vea can still be dangerous. But they will need more. That’s why they go for Greedy Williams from LSU. The top corner in the draft, Williams can help slow down opposing passing games, which is something this team needs desperately as they surrender nearly 270 yards per game through the air on average.
