3. New York Jets: Clelin Ferrell, EDGE, Clemson

Another team that will have a lot of changes this off-season is the New York Jets. There’s a good chance they could be looking for a new coach, which happens often to teams this high on the draft board for several seasons in a row.

Last season the Jets moved up a few picks in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts and landed USC quarterback Sam Darnold. They hope he becomes the leader of the offense they need and there’s also a good chance he could have another weapon added to his arsenal here. The Jets surely need some help, especially at wide receiver, but this selection is still high for drafting anyone at that position.

Instead, they go for a defensive playmaker in Clelin Ferrell, the defensive end out of Clemson. After recording 15.5 sacks in his first three seasons, Ferrell returned for his senior year and had his best campaign to date. He had 10.5 sacks in the regular season and can add more as the Tigers are ready for another playoff run this year. The Raiders will hope he can continue to make big plays as they try their best to put this season behind them.
